Busy week for elm class January 2016

on Tuesday, 19 January 2016. Posted in Elm Class

There is always lots of exciting learning in Elm Class. This term the children are enjoying the new topic 'On Our Doorstep'. Here are some of the learning in just one week!

Blog by Rosie Maple and Guy Palmer (Year 2) supported by Eddie (Year 6)

Monday

Elm explored a map of Salisbury then we found where we live and marked it with a dot. Next we located our school.

Tuesday

Today we used the compass points North, South, East and West to work out which direction our home is from the school.

Wednesday

We wrote down the signs that we see on our way to school.

Thursday

We took a break from our topic and watched Tim Peaks do his space walk live on the whiteboard. It was amazing. We also started making posters advertising Coombe Bissett.

Friday

Elm class made different colour play dough: red, green and yellow. Then we used the play dough to make models of houses.
