A visit to the Cathedral

In the Autumn Term Oak Class visited Salisbury Cathedral. Katherine Dolphin the education officer and her team organised a wonderful day full of awe, wonder and learning in the beautiful Salisbury Cathedral. Our day centred around materials that can be found in the cathedral, looking at the processes that had to be done so many hundreds of years ago to build and make the cathedral the wonderful place of worship that it still is today. We then all got to make our own clay tile, stain glass window and meet Bishop Peter.

Here are a few photographs to show you a snapshot of our wonderful day and some of the learning that happened when we got back into school the next day! Thank you to the Salisbury Cathedral Education Department and all our parent helpers who made this trip possible.
