Classroom Technician to start in Spring 2022

Salary: Grade B (£9.25 to £9.43 per hour) (£17842 - £18198 FTE)
Hours of work: 10 hours per week (Probationary Period 3 months) 
(5 afternoons from February 2022)
and then possibly increasing to 15 hours per week from April 2022.     
Term time only, although training on TD days will be paid.
Contract type:  Initially Fixed Term for a year, with a view to making the role permanent.
Closing date (and time): Monday 17th January 2022
Interview Date: Monday 24th January 2022
Commencement Date: February 2022

The Governors are seeking to recruit a part time Classroom Technician, who is an enthusiastic, flexible and positive person with a ‘can do’ attitude at our lovely rural school.   You will need to be caring, patient and resourceful.  A team player with a good sense of humour.

To support the school, assisting teachers and pupils in the classrooms, and, in maintaining the safety, welfare and conduct of pupils during lunch time, as required.

Duties will include:

  • Listening to and supporting children with their reading, one to one.
  • Take down and put classroom displays
  • Photocopying, laminating, sticking, cutting and filing classroom resources
  • When required to cover lunch times, supervising children in the school hall, keep tables clean, stacking and folding chairs and tables/benches.
